Back from Bali, back from a villa deep in nature without any modern technology whatsoever.
Anyways, what I did in Singapore:
Dec 24:
Filming at McRitchie, met at 6.30am. It rained in the morning, so we got soaked, seeing as the camera had the priority of the sole umbrella that was available. Hung around under a shelter looking at the dragonboaters and monkeys. Then it stopped raining managed to finish, met greg at airport to finish filming.
Dec 25:
Went out with yinfei, watched an independent film at Cathay, learned never to watch independent films especially if they're black and white haha, walked around for quite a while before going to Vivo, where we walked even more before eating at Crystal Jade. Then went to Sentosa for abit and back. Thanks for the gifts :)
Dec 26:
Went to driving school to book the whole february of 20 lessons, which I hope I'll be able to cover 33 subjects within. Lunch, then signed up for electric guitar classes at Yamaha. They didn't have violin classes, so I'm going to sign up at Ossia. But only the saturday after Jan 23, since it's an individual class, and since it starts right when my SAT ends, distance. Went to airport and flew off to Bali.

I slept at somewhere between 4-5am last night, or this morning (whatever you'd prefer). But miraculously, I woke up at 9+, and surprisingly not in the pm this time.
Anyway I lazed around and decided that I would go to the gym. So I did, stopping by Superdog to get myself a tasty, but expensive (on my current budget), breakfast, before reaching Yio Chu Kang gym at half past noon. It's already been 3 consecutive days thy I've travelled all the way to Yio Chu Kang, grr. I need a car.
So I met Bryan, xi & cb at the gym. I did legs. I hate legs. I couldn't walk after that, plus I felt dizzy with headaches and everything looked misty. Normal for leg training. Oh, and it was pretty painful as well.
Then we walked to SSDC for xi to register for his Basic Theory Test. Coincidentally, I also met John, who had just passed his test. I'd better study for mine next week.
It started raining soon after, so we ran back to the gym, pretty much soaked. I used the hand dryer to dry my stuff, but it wasn't really effective because it emitted cool air.
Went to 日本村 to have a buffet. Stayed there till 530 or so before we left. At that time I was extremely bloated and I felt very much pregnant. I felt even more pregnant when I drank down a whole bottle of soya milk.
We headed to Junction 8 where we walked around abit albeit my bloated stomach before heading to the arcade where we played some manual car racing and drumming games.
Tired. So home. Gotta finish ediing quick. I think we'll have to reshoot on Friday.

I dreamnt that I was in the Himalayas, and I was climbing up really steep and high rocks. It was awesome. I was taking pictures and about to post it up here when my alarm clock rang and woke me up.
-----------

Today was filming day. Met wz, hl, bob, yz, jo, john & greg at Ang Mo Kio station. Greg broke his shoes so he went to get a new one, while we went to Fair Price to buy an extra prop and some water. The prices weren't really fair though, I paid $5+ for a tiny brush which ended up not having much screen time anyway.
Then we took a bus down to MacRitchie (sp?) and found a good location to film up a hilll.
The time till 4 was spent filming at the reservoir before we headed back to AMK Hub to get some Sumo House lunch. Then we proceeded to John's house to finish up the filming.

It was already 6+ when we finished. We decided to go play L4D2 at Raiders in AMK. Time passes really fast when you're taking turns killing zombies and humans. It was already 10pm by the time we decided to stop. Got dinner at subway and headed home by the usual 86 to 89 route. Well I would've if I hadn't missed the last bus by 3 mins. So I had to take a cab home. Legs are aching. Wallet is emptying.

Urghh.. My head aches, but let me try to recall the events which took place yesterday.
I woke up on Wednesday in the afternoon, at lunch time. After having lunch, I changed into my prom outfit, which included a long search for shoes.
Then, I headed to Kovan where I met Gabriel and Bryan. I took a cab there because I was late, because I'd spent too much time finding shoes. Wasted $10.
Anyways, we went to Jean Yip to get our hair done. I took about 2 hours in total to finish. Then Gabriel and I went to Lina's house. It was there then that realized that I had forgotten to bing my admission ticket. So I took a cab and went home to get it. I was pretty unlucky though, there wad a traffic jam that really slowed things down. Plus, when I reached my house, the sole of my shoe came out. Now, you can look at this two ways: bad luck or a blessing in disguise in that my forgetfulness of the ticket allowed me to change shoes just as I reached home rather than causing me unnecessary trouble by having the sole come off during the later events.
However, I did spent another $30 for this cab ride alone, a waste I might add. So I met Lina, Gabriel and Xin Yi back where I started and got into yet another cab, in which we proceeded to the Meritus Mandarin Hotel.
When we reached there, many students were already at the lobby taking photos. I think proms are just excuses to take photos in grown-up make up. But I guess I like to do that too since we also took quite a few photos, haha.

Prom was alright. The food was Chinese, much like those served in Din Tai Fung and Crystal Jade. But it was quite good, just not filling. That was probably because we kinda wasted alot of food because we hadn't finished the respective dishes within stipulated times.

There was also a free rubik's cube for everyone. 4 people did not turn up at our table, and so we probably ended up having the emptiest table around. But that just meant more rubik's cubes for us :P
The prom programme went something like videos, piano playing, dancing, prom king and queen games, and other games, all arranged in some sort of order. But most of the time, people were just taking photos with one another.
Anyway, after prom I followed 0708 to Swiss Hotel, intending to go a bar. We took separate cabs, on the way witnessing a gang of supercars roaring past us. When we reached, they changed their minds and decided to go clubbing instead. So we took more cabs to Zouk.
It was a lady's night out, so free entry for the girls. Haiyan bought a bottle of Martell. We went down to the dance floor at first, but decided we needed to get more drunk to get into the mood. So I we went to drink. I drank 2 mixed glasses of Martell, and 2 half-filled glasses of pure Martell, which was really strong, as well as an entire glass of tiger beer. I now know beer tastes horrible.
We went down to the dance floor to party for quite a while. It must've been quite long because I am kinda deaf now.

When we went back up, a few of us had gotten really drunk and were doing and saying certain things, haha. Yhe girls and some of the guys went home first. And later, wanting to avoid a fight or so, we decided to end the night early, although it was already 2+am, and force the more drunked people to stop and get into cabs home.

Wz, Haiyan and I took a cab back to Haiyan's place, where we spent the night. Wz and I watched Planet 51 and I played some Modern Warfare 2 on the computer. We left for Junction 8 at around 7am, having not slept a wink. I was feeling a little lost, not thinking straight. People were giving me stares because it was morning and I was still in my prom clothes, and I looked a little drunk. I wreaked of alcohol too.

I'm finally home now (9am), and the sun is already shining brightly. So tired and head is spinning. A little hungover.

Yesterday was a day of many firsts. First time entering and patronizing the services of a salon and using hair spray and glitter, first time attending prom, first time clubbing, first time drinking alcohol.

So I left my house at 730 in the morning in my dad's car and headed to school. There was a traffic jam which made me reach school at 845, caused by some wrecked car in the middle of the expressway.
Anyways, I met Xin Yi and she passed me the footage they shot of the school band. I'm supposed to edit them by Thursday. I'll try to finish it by tonight.
After that, I left school, having failed to find any available pianos within the school compound, and headed for City Hall. I went in a futile search in Peninsula Plaza of a music shop from the 1st storey all the way to the 30th storey.
Then I just didn't know what to do. I stared into space for a while I wished that I'd brought something to study. So eventually, I decided to go home, which I did. I took my basic theory test book and headed back to City Hall, having a footlong subway sandwich along the way. Funny thing is, throughout today, I'd hardly opened that book.
So I met Bryan and we walked around Peninsula Plaza in another futile search for that music shop. We then gave in and asked the information counter for direction, which really, could've solved all our problems from the start. But I mean, real men don't ask for directions, right? That's why GPS was invented.
We found out that we were in the wrong mall all along. It was actually Peninula Shopping Complex (or something like that), which was opposite of Peninsula Plaza.
There, we found the guitar shop and then wz came. We walked around and browsed stuff, much like any other shopping trip. I've never shopped as much as I have these few days, and it's really kinda taking a toll on me.
We ended up in Funan after an indecisive round. Delifrance did not have the banana crumble I was craving for. So we had Ya Kun Kaya Toast, growing tired of it too. Too much.
We found Cristofori, and I finally decided to get my electric guitar there. I didn't know anything about guitars, so Bryan and wz were checking the stuff for me.
Then Bryan left and wz and I went to meet John at City Hall. We walked to Suntec City's McDonald's and started discussing the script. We finished (sort of) after a while and we might be ready to film on Friday. My phone is running out of battery power so I can't type much. So that's that, we headed home. And they lived happily ever after.

Yesterday was both a short and long day, didn't sleep much, but I promised.
I didn't sleep much last night either. There were alot of things on my mind. My muscles were also aching from the gym session. It's funny how everytime a volunteer got standard chartered, I happen to hav muscle aches. Not fitting. Anyway, I had a protein drink breakfast at 2 something in the morning, which was extremely concentrated and caused me to be immobile for a couple of minutes after consumption.
My dad then drove me to The Padang. Empty roads are great because you can go much faster. I think I'll be driving at such times next time. I just love being in big, open, non-congested spaces. Plus, no ERP. There were also a couple of motorcycles racing on the expressway.

Then I reached the Padang. Met up with the rest and queued for the volunteer registration.
We later walked through the field to one section only to find that there was a locked gate separating us from our intended destination. So we backtracked and walked around the field again. It was already pretty muddy.
Then we were positioned at our 10km medal giving stations. There wasn't much to do, so I played some DS and listened to some music. We were also called to form a line to help transport who knows how many hundreds of cartons of 100 Plus drinks. It took a really long time before everything was done. I ended up having muddy shoes and muddy pants, the latter I was going to wear for prom. My socks were also soggy, and I had to live with it all the way home since bryan and wz were too easily disgusted by the sight of my soiled holey socks.

I also saw a few friends, jp, abraham and kimberly, who was hosting the standard chartered marathon. Of course, there was Adam too, haha. I didn't see many people though, since most of them were actually participating in the marathon.

Ben, gab and I decided to go to the starting point to find someone, but we ended up unable to proceed at a barricaded gate, where security was tight. So near yet so far.

I spent the rest of my time there handing out medals to returning participants and unpacking boxes of even more medals. It lasted for a few hours, which was pretty tiring because of its repetitive nature. There seemed to be an endless supply of people, as well as an everpiling pool of litter, consisting of empty bottles, cardboard, styrofoam and any other forms of rubbish you'd find in an event such as this.

We waited quite a while for our group leader to meet us before we could get our $20, half of which was used to top-up my depleted ez-link card value.
I really want to sleep, haven't really slept for 2 days. Muscles aching all over. But I can't sleep either. It's quite difficult to explain.

I woke up late today, as usual, and went to meet ben, gab, wz, bry at Bugis's McDonald's. I'm quite sick of sausage mcmuffins with egg. Then we went to look for clothes for prom. I bought a dark colored shirt and a white tie. Wz bought his stuff, Ben also bought some pants/shorts/things, I wouldn't know. I am a fashion retard, so I was open to the advice of pros, which happened to be with me, except they kept insisting on female apparel, which I don't think would be fitting for prom, or any other point in time of a male's life for that matter.
Then I went to Kinokuniya to get my SAT guidebook. I have to learn 3500 vocabulary words by January. Later, met up with the rest at the MRT station, where wz left and xi arrived. We went to Orchard, and kinda 'explored' Ion for abit, much to gab's insistence that the toilet was at higher levels.
When we finally got there, we were near the top. Ben discovered a lighting system outside, which consisted of 5 male and 5 female commonly used toilet symbols, that he suspected would light up if the cubicles in the respective toilets were occupied. Unfortunately, the system seemed to have crashed or something, because they didn't respond.
Then we went to Takashimaya to have Modanyaki. I also bought some strawberry milk and my usual bottle of water. Come to think of it, I must've given at least a few hundred bucks to Cold Storage over the year just for water alone. Dang. We also saw the High-Five cast on stage, it got me excited, and I began singing Go Go Power Rangers.
We took a bus to Far East. Xi bought the tight shorts thing, and Bry bought a shirt and a tie. I bought another shirt and a blazer, which kinda depleted my monetary supply. I even had to exchange 150 ringgit to SGD to make up the total cost. Damn, I'm quite broke now. I started the week with at least $1000, now I don't have much cash left. Haha, shit. That's why we've gotta make money quick.
Later, Xi and I went to the gym at Yio Chu Kang. We have both become very weak. My 6 month absence from the gym made even 10-10 frickin difficult. I used to be able to bench 35-35, and 20-20/25-25 felt like a feather. Now, 10-10 feels like the world. ARGH!! SHIT!! I have to train up again! Should I take Creatine? I dunno.
------------------------
Right now, I have quite a few things to settle.
In order of priority (with deadlines):
-SMA video competition (1/4)
-driving license BTT (12/22)
-SAT 1 (1/23)
-Violin classes
-Electric Guitar classes
-French
-German
-Improving Japanese
-Improving Chinese
And of course, I've gotta get my strength back. I hate feeling weak.
------------------------
I'm thinking of learning Latin, Greek and Arabic too, after I've mastered French, German, Japanese and Chinese. But that's still a long way into the future, so I'm not too worried about that.

After spending a few hundred bucks in 2 days, I decided that I needed to put a stopper on the leaking tap. So I stayed at home today to recuperate. Watched movies the entire day, and now I'm pretty tired of watching stuff. I'll need to find a day to get an electric guitar and a larger violin, as well as stuff for D&D. Then there's this standard chartered thing going on on Sunday. I kinda regret volunteering, because I wanted to run (or at least walk :P), but somehow I got dragged into it.
I'll need to spend a couple thousand bucks too on movie props, damn. I think I'll wait till February or so, when I can actually drive these props around, and when I have the financial capability to purchase them.
It's already 12/3, I really outta get a script ready by Monday, so we can start filming.

So today I woke up in a rush to attain white printing paper. Once I had, I printed out the application forms, depleting my ink levels along the way.
Then I rushed down to meet wz and jo at bugis library. I was still kinda late anyway. Had 3 takopachi balls for breakfast. Then we photocopied a couple more forms just in case.
Headed to Clarke Quay, the smell of alcohol quench my curiosity based luat for it, so I don't think i'll be binge drinking anytime soon. We found the media office. There was no one at the counter, so we sat on the seats, which were pretty comfy, and waited, filling up forms along the way. Office people walked by us, not asking any questions. This made me question the facility's security.
John turned up a while later and he signed the final form, where we then spent a few minutes searching for a way to send in the forms. My stapler had also just run out of bullets. As we wandered into the office corridors, a man asked if he could help. We told him we were here to enter the competition, and we got someone to help us. We split the admission fee of $21+ amongst the 4 of us. So our final team, Crappy Films, consists of 8 members. If we can win, it would be pretty good because we would get 3k, and even up to 6k if we just somehow managed to snag all the prizes :P
Then we headed to Orchard. John got off at Somerset. We went to Ion at first. Looked around for abit, before I went to Paragon for my dental check up. I gave my dentist the link to my YouTube channel :P
Met up again at Kinokuniya in Takashimaya. There, we browsed language and music books. I bought German and French books to commence my aquisition of the two languages. They would've cost me over $75, but thanks to Jo's membership card, I got a 10% discount. I also want to improve my Japanese and Chinese. I guess I will read more books. Browsing also kinda sparked my interest for Greek and Arabic. Perhaps in the future.
Then we finally left at 4+. Went to some takashimaya "market" where they sold lots of cool exotic foods (at least from what I observed). We bought some cheese Modanyaki and found somewhere on the floor to sit and eat our lunch, or rather, linner.
Walked to Orchard Central. I'd never been there before so I thought it was pretty sweet. We also checked some manga cum video game cafe where you paid to play. I tried reading my basic theory book on the way there, but as luck would have it, two drops if rainwater, only a few seconds apart, dropped into the pulp based pages. So I gave up and held the book all the way to sometime in orchard central, because I was too lazy to stop and put it in my bag again.
At orchard central, we walked for hours, discovering new things such as one of Subway's competitors whose name I forgot, but whose sandwiches looked really appealing, as well as how the modern dragon dance now takes place vertically on an artificial rockwall in December. Hmm I didn't know next year's Chinese New Year was this year.

After even more browsing, where in I found a few stores I thought I could patronize in the future to purhase my wakeboard and new skateboard, since my current one is already wearing out, as well as a few spa and massge parlors for a much needed rest and relaxation moment, we finally reached the roof garden. It was a nice view. Sorta like having climbed to the peak of Mt Ophir. This was also when i decided to keep my basic theory book. I saw the old skate park at somerset, it looked pretty insignificant compared to the new one at east coast, haha.

My legs were already aching from the hours of non-stop walking in boots while carrying a decently weighted bagpack. But we still pressed on and walked to Plaza Singapura, which wasn't really that far.
There, we went to buy a few drinks. I got water and F&N. Later, we headed to Yamaha and looked at the guitar and violin courses. I think it's more worth it to take violin classes individually and guitar classes as a group. I didn't sign up just yet, I'll scout around for nearer places and maybe ones that offer better rates, because it can cost up to $700+ a month with both instruments at higher grades. I still haven't decided if I should be playing acoustic or electric, I'll ask guanru :)
We walked somemore, again, and visited movie replica shops. This time last year, there was an anniversary sale for swords. I wanted to buy one last year, but I was underage. Now, I was eligible again, but this year's sale was only focused on knives, much to my disappointment.
Then we went to a gameshop where I bought a DS game, Scribblenaughts, after much deliberation since I'd already spent quite alot. I got a $10 "discount" from wz who was especially generous today, haha.
Anyway, I finally made it back home with legs aching all over. I guess now it's time to start brainstorming for movie ideas.
